Before

Before, the experience of watching Instagram Stories on desktop fell short of the high quality experience people expected from Instagram native. There were UX issues - it was impossible to skip a person altogether and users were forced to click through each story to progress. But in general the experience didn't feel right.

Approach

While we had some ideas of what it meant to feel "native" to Desktop, or "high quality," this project required a lot of prototyping to make these definitions more crisp. This is not an exhaustive case study but I wanted to share some of the explorations we tried.
